Noise Measurements and Assessment (NMA)
Noise is is unwanted, annoying and harassing sound which may adversely affect the people’s physical, mental and social well-being.
Noise is divided into two types: environmental (ambient) noise andworking area noise
.In general, environmental noise is measured at the boundary of an organization (e.g. company, factory, plant, etc). While working area noise is measured at the working areas (e.g. production hall, control room, office, rest room, etc). Noise measurements results are assessed in accordance with the national and international legislations and guidelines.
Water and Environment Centre (WEC) at the Royal Scientific Society (RSS) has a wide range of work experience in noise measurements and assessment. WEC has conducted many consultations and studies in noise measurements and assessment for Airport, Cement Industries, Fertilizers and Chemical Industries, Drilling Wells, Waste Incinerators, Steel Industries and Power Plants.
